Earthquake
is destructive. It is unpredictable. Schools in some areas conduct earthquake
drills in practice in preparation for an earthquake. Stop, drop and hold on is
used during the drill.
Drop,
Cover, and hold on: drop to the ground, take cover on a table or desk, hold on
to it as if a major earthquake were happening that’s the right thing to do in
able to survive. trying to run in an earthquake is dangerous, at the ground is
moving and you can easily fall or be injured by debris or glass. Running outside
is dangerous, as glass, bucks, or other building components may be falling.
Again, you are much safer to stay inside and get under a table.

Simultaneous earthquake drill held in every school in preparing for an
earthquake through this students would know what to do in case of an
earthquake.
Stay
away from glass, windows, outside door and walls, and anything that would fall
such as lighting features or furniture. Before an earthquake occurs, fasten
shelves securely to wall and place heavy objects or lower shelves. Hang items
such as pictures and mirrors away from beds or anywhere people sit in. Identify
safe places in each room.
Therefore,
of all earthquake preparedness measure, earthquake drills are the most
important measure in preparing for an earthquake.
